The “megavillage“ Munich is clearly laid out and nearly all sights – even those that are situated in the surrounding suburbs outside the city centre – are easily accessible by bike. Even the Olympic centre or castle Nymphenburg aren’t too far out for bikers.

Bike rental of Spurwechsel

At the Spurwechsel bike rental you can choose between city bikes with 3-gear-shift and back-pedalling brake, trekking bikes or mountain bikes. Additionally, you can rent (heavy-duty) trailers, helmets and baskets at the bike rental. The bike rental offers rental bikes for every age group. For elderly people we have city bikes with deep access at the bike rental and of course we take into account little visitors of Munich, too. Besides children’s bikes you can also obtain children’s trailers and children’s seats.

For those who still haven’t decided whether a bike of the Spurwechsel bike rental Munich is the right thing, here is some background information: Munich is amongst the bike-friendliest cities in Germany – some even call it the „bike capital of Germany“. A whopping 1.200 kilometres of bike lanes run through Munich. The well developed network opens up to the bikers not only the city (centre) but above all also the green oases of Munich such as the English Garden and the Isar riverside. Muscle effort usually stays within reason in Munich: With only a few hills even unexperienced bikers can comfortably bike through the city.

The Spurwechsel bike rental is open on weekdays between 9.00 and 18.00 o’clock; during summer (April until October) also every Saturday morning from 9.00 until 14.00 o’clock. On prior arrangement, however, we gladly open the bike rental outside these hours. Returning the bikes is possible at all times!
